The 7.92mm Mauser Gewehr 1898 Rifle is a German bolt-action rifle. It was in use between 1898-1945 and despite not being designed for sniper fire, certain models were modified for such missions.
In "The Double Deuce," a German sniper spots Reggie Thistleton and Woodhouse with a lit cigarette. He then fires upon Reggie and kills him with a shot through the neck. This then sends Woodhouse into a rage (interesting though, the bolt is on the wrong side of the rifle).
