Different Voice Actor in S04E11?Edit
Woodhouse's voice sounded much different in "The Papal Chase". 184.108.40.206 22:53, April 9, 2013 (UTC)
There's a piece of speculation, in this paragraph on Woodhouse's page:
- Woodhouse has lived an incredibly long (given that he would have to have been born in the 1800s to be of age to serve in world war I) and colorful life.
It is possible that he was born as late as the very early 1900s, as there have been a few documented cases of people as young as thirteen having served in World War I, which tentatively would place his DOB as late as 1904/1905, depending on what years he served (ie: if he joined in 1917 or 1918, for example).
Considering no date is given on his service the King's African Rifles (KAR), which was still active during World War II, it's possible that he served with that unit subsequent to World War I (though not guaranteed, I may be forgetting something). If he served with them prior to that, the KAR were active as early as 1900, when fighting began, and ended in 1904 (he never mentioned fighting in Zambezi, just that he served there); potentially meaning he joined them in the 1900s/1910s, if not post World War I. If service with them was pre-WWI, then I'd estimate he'd be born no earlier than 1893, and no later than 1905. Further possibility, that he served with them for part of World War I during the East African Campaign against the Germans, before being transferred, which would be in line with a DOB in the 1900s. 13621 (talk) 06:41, June 14, 2014 (UTC)
Woodhouse is no longer voiced by George Coe. He was actually voiced by Tom Kane throughout season 5, and has yet to appear in season 6. His name appeared in the voice credits in all episodes with Woodhouse as of season 5 episode 2, Is credited correctly on his Wikipedia page ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Kane ) and has answered questions about his taking over the role of Woodhouse in a Reddit interview ( http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1ztlqp/ ). I think the confusion is coming from IMDB's crediting George Coe as Woodhouse for season 5, despite his name not appearing in the credits all season.
