Twin Vickers on a British aircraft

The Vickers Machine Gun is a British made .303 machine gun made to be mounted and fired from aircraft in combat. The vickers relied on a high rate of short burst fire to take maximum advantage of the short window of time when the gunner would be able to hold the enemy in his sights.

Twin Vickers Machine Guns were mounted on British and French aircraft during World War I.
